Ramco Block Fix is a block jointing mortar known for its superior bonding strength. It is particularly designed for thin bed applications, ensuring stronger and more durable bonds between blocks with optimal adhesive strength.
The product stands out for its versatility, being applicable in various areas such as laying and joining AAC blocks, and for joining concrete windows and door frames. Its formulation aims to provide better workability, water retention, and durability, alongside strong adhesion to surfaces. Ramco Block Fix is also highlighted for being more resistant to corrosive environments compared to traditional jointing mortars.
Ramco Block Fix (BFM1) is a thin-joint mortar with high strength attributes for firmly laying AAC blocks. It is a factory mixed mortar constituting Portland cement, graded sand, blended with polymer additives. Even at 3 mm thickness it imparts high strength and water retention properties.
As the product is being manufactured in a controlled environment, the output quality is consistent across batches. For best results the blocks should be cleaned using a brush to remove any dust or loose particles. In order to minimize the suction of water wet the blocks prior to using Ramco Block Fix for jointing. Free water on the surface should be allowed to disperse before applying the mortar.
Portland cement, graded sand, special additives for better water retention, bonding, flowability and workability.
Demand of water: 8 – 10 Liters per 40 kg bag. 1 bag of 40 kg covers an area of 120 – 145 sq.ft @ 3 mm thickness under ideal conditions.
Reduced construction timelines also reduces the direct labour costs. The volume of dry mix mortar is considerably less than traditional mortar giving a distinct cost advantages. A 40 kg bag of Ramco Block Fix covers an area of 120 – 145 sq.ft for a 3 mm thickness bed. Logistical complexity of the product is reduced as the material is premixed and requires only water addition at site. Mortar thickness of 3mm is sufficient to bind the blocks together. It is self-curing.
The product is available in 40 kg bags. Has a shelf life of 6 months from the date of manufacture, when stored in dry conditions.
